5.1.3 Give Some Examples of Each Level of Industry Located in Pakistan.

  1. Primary Industry:
    • Agriculture: Pakistan has a significant agricultural sector, with crops such as wheat, rice, cotton, sugarcane, and fruits being cultivated across the country.
    • Mining: Pakistan has abundant natural resources, including coal, salt, gypsum, limestone, and marble. Mining activities extract these resources for various purposes.
  1. Secondary Industry:
    • Textile Manufacturing: Pakistan is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of textiles and garments. Textile mills process cotton into yarn and fabric, which are then used to produce clothing and other textile products.
    • Automotive Industry: Pakistan has an automotive industry that manufactures cars, motorcycles, and auto parts. Companies like Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki have manufacturing plants in the country.
  1. Tertiary Industry:
    • Healthcare Services: Pakistan has hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities that provide medical services to the population. These include both public and private healthcare providers offering a range of services from primary care to specialized treatments.
    • Banking and Financial Services: Pakistan’s banking sector includes commercial banks, investment banks, and microfinance institutions that offer a wide range of financial services such as loans, savings accounts, and investment products to individuals and businesses.

These examples illustrate the diversity of industries in Pakistan across the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, contributing to the country’s economy and development.
