Pakistan’s Relationship with India with Reference to Strengths and Issues.

Introduction
Pakistan’s relationship with India is characterized by deep-rooted tensions and complex dynamics, shaped by historical, religious, and territorial disputes. The primary issue at the heart of their strained relations is the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, which has remained unresolved for decades. This territorial conflict has led to recurrent confrontations and hostilities between the two countries.

Strengths:

1. Diplomatic Efforts: Pakistan has consistently advocated for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue and diplomatic channels. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of a peaceful neighborhood and his willingness to engage in bilateral talks demonstrate Pakistan’s commitment to finding a solution to longstanding issues.
2. International Support: Pakistan has garnered support from various international forums, including the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and certain countries like China, Turkey, and Malaysia, which have expressed solidarity with Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir.
3. Back-Channel Diplomacy: Both countries have historically engaged in back-channel diplomacy to address contentious issues, including Kashmir. Despite denials, reports suggest recent efforts at backchannel talks between the national security advisers of Pakistan and India, indicating a potential avenue for conflict resolution.

Issues:
